All of the Year groups at The Prince of Wales spend time outside in our extensive grounds. Lessons suchs as Science, Maths, Literacy and Geography are regularly taught outside.

In Year 3 or when working with Mrs Thorpe the children practice the Forest School ethos where they spend regular times outside with the same small group doing child lead outdoor learning. The Forest School Handbook explains what the Forest School ethos is and how it is followed.

Children in out Early Years settings have constant access to our outdoor provision and are out in all weathers.

All children in the school plant fruit and vegetables in our polytunnel and garden and help to harvest them in the Summer time.
