KAPLA CLUB
As part of our dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fortnight here at The Prince of Wales School we were delighted to introduce a special ‘KAPLA’ launch event (funded by our generous friends at POWSA - thank you POWSA). Throughout the day, all children at The Prince of Wales School had the opportunity to explore creativity and engineering principles through hands-on building experiences. At the end of the day, lots of families came along to look at our finished work -

LIONS ROAR PROGRAMME -
Lions Roar is a programme funded by the Lions Clubs and run by 8 billion ideas. This programme is designed to give primary school children a platform to think big and positively change the world. The children work in teams or 3 or 4 to create world changing big ideas. They will make posters, jingles, models and a sales pitch to share their ideas. DT SKILLS - Develop a clear idea of what has to be done, planning how to use materials, equipment and processes. Evaluate work both during and at the end of the assignment.
LIONS ROAR 2023 -
Congratulations to 'Da Fishys' (Jessica, Lucia, Esme and Jack in Y4) on WINNING BIG at the National #ROAR2023 Awards.
We are super proud of every Year Four pupil who took part in this national competition (run in partnership with The Lions Club International). In total, the competition involved over 25,000 pupils in over 250 schools! We look forward to presenting Jessica, Lucia, Esme and Jack with their NATIONAL WINNERS trophy in due course.
