As part of our focus week, we made some digital art using photographs. We learned how to edit photos thinking about playing around with transparency, colour, shadowing and layering to create some art that reflects the mood and feelings of moving to a new place. We had been inspired by the text "Here I Am2 which features some simmilar art work but instead of focusing on the locations in the book, we decided to use maps and images of Pudsey. Some of the art reflected the feelinbgs of nervousness and lonliness experienced by the character at the start of the books whereas others aim to create the hopefullness and happiness that come with feeling like you start to belong to a new place.
