Year 2 Geography Trip: Leeds City Centre
Year 2 went into Leeds this week to discover more about the city. We noticed how the buildings are of all different ages and that the uses of some of the buildings, like the Corn Exchange, have changed over time. The children did really well to use the maps they had prepared earlier in the week to navigate their way. They spotted key landmarks and street names to help us complete our walk.
Year 2 DT: Making Sushi
Year 2 completed a DT project around making a healthy and balanced snack. We looked at the different food groups and what each part of a piece of sushi bring to our bodies when we eat it. It was great for the children to experiment with the textures and flavours of this famous Japanese food.
