SEMESTER ONE AND SEMESTER TWO 2026
THE CHARACTER LAB
In Drama Character Lab, students learn the foundations of performance. They make their own characters, learn how to tell their own narratives, study scriptwriting and investigate how to design their own performance using lighting, sound and set. In this subject, they will also follow the process of learning how to stage a play. We will also begin playing in different theater styles which may include Improvisation, Clowning, Physical Theatre and Musical Theatre.
EXPLORING DRAMA
In Drama Through Time, students apply their foundational knowledge of Drama by exploring a variety of time periods through collaborative performance. This may include the French Revolution, Commedia Dell’Arte, modern Political Theatre and the Salem Witch Trials. They also learn more advanced tools of improvisation and devising to create their own narratives. In this class, students will also attend excursions to see live theater.
