The Careers Unit is Underway!
During SEL class, over the next several weeks, students will be engaged in lessons and activities surrounding careers. 4th grade students will learn what a resume is and will work on their own learner resume over the coming weeks. 5th grade students will begin exploring the 16 Career Clusters through an interest inventory. The inventory will help them to narrow down their top 3 Career Clusters of interest, and they’ll have the opportunity to look through and research some interesting career choices from their clusters. We begin these units by talking about different careers that students are already aware of, and give students opportunities to share about their earliest career aspirations, and connections to careers through others. Be sure to ask your kiddos about these fun lessons and what they’re learning!
