Art:

✅Helps kids learn to appreciate the arts by providing them with the opportunity to play games, conduct investigations, and explore different forms of art.  https://artsology.com/

✅NGAkids interactives (from the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC) offer an entertaining and informative introduction to art and art history. https://www.nga.gov/education/kids.html

Education, non-specific:

The following two websites do contain overtly religious content. Please note that I am not promoting religion here. (Personally, I don't do religion. Period.) Nor am I trying to denigrate religion.

These two websites also support homeschooling. They could be great sources of information and inspiration for people who want to homeschool. I am not promoting homeschooling, either.

Religion, schooling—these are your choices to make.

I personally support the public schools, because I think that assuring a good education for all children is a vital part of our responsibility as a society. If public schools are having a hard time these days…well, perhaps that's in part because our society has neglected to support lots of vulnerable people, and so all those broken parts have landed in the laps of our schools. So schools have to be therapists, and social workers, and food pantries, and crisis intervention, and…before they can even get down to teaching!

Anyway, I have included these following two sites because I think these two women have a lot to teach, and because they offer a lot of resources, and a lot of support! And they have a lot of experience with teaching children at home!

✅A quick start resource to help families pull together a plan for surviving the next 1-2 months at home with their kids, but it can also be a time of slowing down and enjoying kids as they learn.
