  • Most are Completely F2F

  • Students are mostly excited to be back, happy to be back, anxious to be back

  • Noticeable but not major impact of COVID

  • Many are using more online tools

  • Students still need special accommodations due to pandemic

  • Evenly divided, but mostly no opinion on being adequately supported

  • Students need a lot more help with mental health and academics

Main agenda

• Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL)

  • Pratt Commons site crashed over the summer, Holly has been working on recovering resources from the site

  • If there are missing items from site, reach out to CTL

  • Maura posted Slack channel, for announcements

    • “Little Earthquakes” series on Educator Wellbeing channel on Slack

  • CTL survey for Spring planning: What prevents you from CTL events, and what programs would you like?

• Emily: Spring schedule timetables are in progress

  • Starfish tool can help students get connected to help

  • Starfish early and often

• Senators representing HMS

  • Saul: Senate will try to tackle assessment across the Institute

    • Dean search for school of architecture

    • teaching awards around end of semester or early January

    • Eliminated qualifying paper

    • Reach out to Minh-Ha if you are interested in teaching Contemporary Media Theory

    • Working with Curriculum Committee to create more classes from provisional classes 

    • Research ideas and work: Special issue with launch event in the future
