As a School Counselor of Color, I host Stephenson’s 4th and 5th grade Student of Color affinity group. An affinity group is a group of people linked together by a common purpose or interest. This group provides a safe and supportive space for students to share their experiences and feelings, build relationships with peers who may share similar backgrounds, and develop a sense of community and belonging at school. Your student is invited to join this Student of Color affinity group because you have marked their race and/or ethnicity as something other than White.
