What is Student Leadership?

• Who can join? 5th Graders at Stephenson

• Stephenson’s Student Leadership is an application-based program

• Student leaders ALWAYS model Stephenson’s 4 B’s

  • Be Safe, Responsible, Respectful, and Your Best

• Leadership times can be during lunch recess, enrichment time, morning meeting time, etc.

• Self-Managers and working to make Stephenson a welcoming school for ALL students

Here are some examples of roles for Student Leaders-

• morning greeter

• coming up with different spirit day themes

• share any school wide announcements during monthly assembly

• help with the School Announcement board

• shares important news and announcements with class

• help with designing the Counselor bulletin board

• Attending a counselor/admin meeting for student's perspective/input

• helping with any tours or showing visitors around

By applying to be part of Stephenson’s Student Leadership, you are committing yourself to-

• Being a self-manager and balance my responsibilities

  • YOU are responsible for making up work during missed class time

• I will fulfill all responsibilities that come with being a Student Leader

• I will not take advantage of my leadership responsibilities

• I will do my best in making Stephenson a welcoming place for everyone

• I will always Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and to always Be My Best
