This is my 54th year in Education. I student taught 2nd grade at Woodstock Elementary School in Portland Public Schools.  I started my career as a 1st grade Russian bilingual teacher in Woodburn School District. I then transitioned to a 3rd and 4th grade reading teacher. In 1984 after completing my Masters Degree in Counseling, I began my counseling career in Oregon City School District as an elementary school counselor, transferring to Middle school in 1987 I retired from The Oregon City School District in 2003. Since then I have worked in Portland Public Schools as a teacher and counselor K-12. Last fall I came to Robert Gray to fill a temporary position as counselor serving A-K. I am pleased to return this year to work with Mrs. Held and Ms. Valazquez. I will be at Robert Gray on Friday’s, sharing space in Room 96 with Ms Valazquez. I am looking forward to connecting with the students from last year and meeting the incoming 6th graders.
