Ms. Ariel has been working with kids her entire career. First as an elementary school art teacher and then returning to school to earn a Master's Degree in Art Therapy. She has worked for Portland Public Schools for many years in different roles including: Teen Parent Counselor, Qualified Mental Health Professional in the Special Education department and as an Elementary School Counselor. Ariel has also been an adjunct faculty member at Lewis and Clark College in the Graduate Department of School Counseling.
Ariel's passion is for teaching mindfulness to young people. She is a Mindful Schools Certified Instructor and has taught mindfulness to thousands of students. Ariel firmly believes that every tool young people need to navigate the emotional storms of childhood and adolescence can be taught through mindfulness.
When Ariel isn't working she loves to spend time with her family, go surfing, travel the world and ride her bike.
