The Extended Application (EA) is an Oregon graduation requirement. In Portland Public Schools, the EA is fulfilled when, during their senior year, students create a “My Plan Project." This is a formal reflection of a student’s high school experiences related to college and career, community, and future plans and goals. The My Plan Project supports the district’s goal for every PPS student to graduate college and career ready with an informed post-high school plan. This requirement is assigned in English class and graded by the teacher. Once a student passes, the school career coordinator will enter the grade into Synergy.
