Understand how to let colleges know about your decision to attend
What is in the award letter?
Every college you are accepted into will send you an "Award Letter" which let's you know how much money it will cost you to attend their school. The award letter includes:
Costs to attend the college - things like tuition, room & board, fees
Your financial aid - scholarships, grants, work-study, loans
Net cost to attend - all the costs, minus your financial aid
Award letters can be complicated and hard to understand, I recommend you have someone experience go over them with you. I am happy to help you with that, you can reach me at: agutierrez1@pps.net.
Accepting your financial aid offer and admission offer:
You will need to accept both their financial aid offer, and offer of admission. There will be a deadline for both, so keep an eye out for an email from them.
Almost every college will do this through a student portal. Once admitted, they will email you info on how to create a student login to access the portal.Through that portal you will be able to accept your financial aid offer and let them know you plan to attend their school.
