Applying to colleges involves completing two components:
1) Sending in your application
2) Sending in your additional documents
You need to make sure you complete both in order to have a complete college application.
The first thing you need to do is figure out how you will be applying to the colleges on your list.
Online App - the most basic way to apply to a college is by going to their website. For example, you can apply to Portland State University by going to this page on their website: https://www.pdx.edu/admissions/apply
The Common App - this website lets you apply to multiple colleges using one application. But not all colleges accept it.
The UC App - some colleges will require a specific application, for example schools in the University of California (UC) system require you use their own application called the UC App.
My recommendation is to use the Common App if your colleges accept it, if not then use the Online App option.
The second component of a complete college application is your additional documents: letters of rec, school profile, transcript, etc.
The good news of this portion is that you just have to make the request, and we send those off for you. In order to make the request you will have to use MaiaLearning.com.
