Amy Henry

Amy Henry has worked in education for over 25 years as an elementary, middle, and high school counselor in both Portland Public Schools and the Gresham Barlow School District. She has been a counselor at Benson Polytechnic since the fall of 2011 where she helped create the College and Career Center and the School Based Health Clinic.
Before Mrs. Henry became a school counselor, she was a school-to-work coordinator for ten years and led the nationallyrecognized program, RR2000, at Roosevelt High School. She has spoken at national conferences on topics around the role of counselors in career education and is currently serving as the president of the Oregon School Counseling Association.
Mrs. Henry has a B.A. in Government/French from the University of Notre Dame and a M.S. in School Counseling from Portland State University. 
In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, read, and do any type of activity that gets her outdoors.
