Vincent Donnelly is a John and Rebecca Moores Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Houston. Prior to 2002, he was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, in Murray Hill, New Jersey. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from LaSalle University, a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, and was a NRC postdoc at the Naval Research Lab. His research includes experimental studies of plasmas and plasma etching, plasma-surface interactions, control of ion and energy distributions in plasmas, nano-patterning methods, and atmospheric pressure micro-discharges. He is a Fellow of the American Vacuum Society and a recipient of the Tegal Corp. Thinker Award, the AVS Plasma Science and Technology Division Plasma Prize, the AVS John Thornton Memorial Award and Lecture, the Nishizawa Award at the 41st Dry Process Symposium in Hiroshima, Japan, and the American Physical Society and Gaseous Electronics Conference Will Allis Prize.
