Robert Bruce is a Research Staff Member and Manager of the Advanced Plasma Processing Group at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY. He joined IBM in 2010 and as a plasma etch expert, delivered patterning solutions for GAA FET, phase change memory, photonics, DNA transistor and microfluidic technologies. In 2018, he joined the Phase Change Memory group driving research on phase change materials and integration for storage and AI. He is currently responsible for leading the plasma processing research and strategy for IBM's advanced prototyping facility. He is an author or co-author of over 110 technical papers, has over 40 patents, and has been an active member of AVS for over 15 years.
Dr. Bruce is a co-Principal Investigator of the PlasMat2D project co-leading project research efforts at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center.
