Emily Sistrunk has been a laser scientist at LLNL since 2014 and is laser development group leader in the Advanced Photon Technologies program within the NIF and Photon Science Directorate. Her research focuses on high average- and high peak-power laser systems for scientific applications, including the delivery of the HAPLS laser to ELI-Beamlines in 2018. Prior to joining LLNL, she was a postdoc at SLAC working on time-resolved EUV spectroscopy. She received her PhD in Physics at the Ohio State University in 2011, where she developed high rep-rate mid-IR laser sources for attosecond science.
