Following is a list of tools that students and teachers already have experience with. The recommendation is to start with a tool on this list since it won't be new to the students. If you feel something needs added to the list, let John know.
Google Classroom:
Grades K-12 have student logins with access to Google Classroom.
Grades 1-12 have experience using Google Classroom.
Email:
Grades K-12 have student logins with access to school Gmail accounts
Grades K-4 email accounts are restricted to their grade level teachers, Christy McGraw, Jamie Yates, Susan Ferrero, John Langley, and Mike Squires.
Drive/Docs/Slides/Sheets, etc:
Grades K-12 have student logins with access to Google Drive storage, Google Docs to write, Google Slides for presentations, etc.
Google Meet:
Teachers have access to Google Meet (previously Hangouts) to video chat with students as a class.
Zoom:
Zoom is a video conferencing tool that is free for 40 minute sessions that may be recorded.
Digital Math books:
Math students grades K-12 have access to digital math textbooks.
Freckle Math at grades 5-8
Digital Science books:
Science students in grades 4-12 have digital science textbooks.
Nimbus, Screencastify, Loom: screencasting tools that have been used by both students and teachers
Formative Assessment tools:
Kahoot!
Google Forms
Socrative
Edpuzzle
