Course Selection Process
Course Selection Process
*Teachers input recommendations.
*Students select core and elective classes in PowerSchool with counselors in the classroom.
*Parents can see selections in PowerSchool and a verification of course selections will come home with 3rd 9 week report cards. Changes can be made at that time, or students may send counselors a schoology messages with changes up until that time.
*If parents have questions about a specific teacher recommendation, email the teacher. If a parent would like to override a teacher recommendation, email your childs' counselor for an override form. The overrides are processed over the summer.

We encourage students and parents to actively participate in conversations and review PowerSchool course selections. Parental input is valuable in helping students make academic decisions, as their choices can impact future course selections.

Consider your child’s teacher's recommendations regarding academic placement. Teachers know your child’s strengths and areas of growth due to their working relationship. If you have questions or concerns about leveling recommendations, consult your child’s teacher.
