Let’s be real: asking people for money is usually about as fun as a parent-teacher conference on a Friday afternoon. But at the PTO, we turn "spare change" into big changes for our kids—and we need a fearless leader to head the charge!
Do you have a smile that says "Yes, you do need another 5 rolls of gift wrap" and a heart of gold? We’re looking for a Fundraising Chair to lead our seasonal shenanigans.
The Vibe:
You’re the visionary behind the magic.
You get to say things like, "What if we threw a gala... but with pajamas?"
You don't have to do it alone (we have a "fun-tourage" ready to help).
No worries—we love a "Sidekick!"
If you don't want to run the whole show but you’re happy to sling some popcorn, haunt a silent auction table, or scan a few books, we have a spot for you!
We need people who can be:
The Muscle: Move tables without groaning (too loudly).
The Hype: Tell everyone on Facebook that our spirit wear is "literally iconic."
The Help: Just show up, grab a clipboard, and look official.
Why Join the Money Squad?
Because "The school budget" is a polite way of saying "We need more cool stuff." Whether you're a master negotiator or just someone who’s really good at taping posters to hallway walls, we need your energy.

Your gently worn sneakers can make a real difference for Potter Road!
We’re partnering in a unique fundraiser with no selling and no cost to participate. All we need is your support — and your gently worn, used, or new athletic sneakers.
How to Participate
1. Check your closets
Look through your family’s closets for sneakers you no longer use — maybe they’ve been outgrown, gone out of style, or are simply sitting unused.
2. Gather as many pairs as you can
Have 20 pairs at home? Amazing. Have just a few? That’s great too. Every pair helps.
3. Spread the word
Ask neighbors, friends, co‑workers, and your social networks to join in. The more we collect, the bigger the impact.
Why It Matters
Every pair of sneakers we collect:
- Helps raise funds to support Potter Road programs
- Keeps reusable footwear out of landfills
- Reduces waste and supports a healthier environment
Your participation supports both our school community and the planet.

Many employers offer donation matching, community grants, or employee‑nominated giving programs that can significantly boost the impact of your support for Potter Road.
Companies such as TJX, MathWorks, and Boston Scientific offer Associate‑Nominated Grants that require a current employee to “sponsor” the request. If you work for a company with similar programs, your involvement could unlock additional funding for our school.
We encourage families to check your company’s giving policies to see what opportunities might be available. If you discover a program or need help navigating the process, reach out — the PTO is happy to support you every step of the way.
Your participation helps bring more resources, enrichment, and opportunities to our students. Thank you for exploring these powerful ways to give back.
A Community Cookbook by Potter Road Families
We’ve gathered the best-kept culinary secrets from our neighborhood to yours. From weeknight staples to holiday favorites, our community has come together to create a collection of recipes that celebrate home cooking.
To ensure every family can share in the joy of cooking, all recipes have been translated into both English and Portuguese.
🗓️ Coming this March! Get ready to spice up your kitchen. Our cookbook sales officially launch in March, featuring several hand-picked recipes for every skill level and more!
Your purchase does more than just fill your plate. All proceeds from the finished cookbook will support:
PTO Programs & Events: Enriching the school experience for our students.
Food Security Initiatives: Supporting local efforts to address food insecurity in our community.
Celebrate creativity and support our school with the Art to Remember fundraiser! This unique program turns student artwork into cherished keepsakes—giving families the chance to preserve their child’s creativity while helping raise funds for important school initiatives.
Each student creates a piece of art at school, which is professionally scanned and transformed into a personalized order form. Families can then purchase custom items featuring their child’s masterpiece— mugs, magnets, tote bags, ornaments, and more!
This fundraiser is a joyful way to celebrate student expression while supporting our school community. Every purchase helps fund programs, events, and resources that benefit all students.
We want to hear from you! Please take a moment to let us know what kind of fundraising you would prefer to see us try next. Your feedback helps us plan exciting and successful events that bring our community together.
