Every junior and senior can take up to 12 college credits per year - for free!
We are incredibly lucky that, in the state of Maine, all public school students in grades 11 or 12 can take up to 12 credits (typically 4 classes) of college credits for free! This includes in person courses at SMCC or USM, or online courses through any of the University of Maine campuses statewide. Students will need to pay for books, but this is a huge savings and a great way to get started on college coursework.
