Valley View School

Principal Message - Jessica Bruenn

Dear Valley View Families,

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. I cannot express how much I truly miss seeing children fill these hallways. Recently, the Connecticut Board of Education released a document for the reopening of schools this coming fall. We are very excited to have our students return to school. Our district is working collaboratively with parents, community members, various unions, teachers, staff, town officials and other stakeholders, as we plan for a safe reopening.

I am hopeful that we will look at this as an opportunity for growth. I understand that there will be many hurtles to overcome and that the challenges of the uncertainty will create its own obstacles however, I am confident that the students will experience the same level of love, compassion and commitment from our teachers as they did before COVID. Our students need our support socially and emotionally and miss being at school. We want to provide them with a nurturing and safe environment to return to.

Valley View will look different in the fall and some of our new procedures and protocols will seem a bit restricted at first, but please remember that they are designed to keep your child and the Valley View community safe. We will still care and support your child and will work hard to help them grow every single day.

Although Valley View may look different, our core beliefs remain the same.
