Anything that requires the children to see the process of creating something and having to be patient to see the final outcome is the goal in this activity.
Make Popsicles
Make Popsicles
Making something easy together is a great idea too. For example, something easy and delicious to make is popsicles but anything will work! For popsicles, use ice trays, popsicle sticks, and fruit juice to make any flavor popsicles and wait and be patient on them to freeze all the way!
Remember to practice patience while waiting for them to completely freeze!

- 2 white paper plates
- 1 black paper plate
- Cardboard
- Green cardstock or construction paper
- Googly eyes
- pencil for tracing
- stapler

- glue stick

Ask your children about a time when they had to be patient.
- "What were you waiting for?"
- "How did waiting make you feel?"
- "How could you have been more patient in that instance?"
Talk and discuss for as long as possible.
Remember to be patient with them when they are speaking as well. Make sure that they get to finish their thought without being interrupted.
- You can show them you are listening by making eye contact and repeating or rephrasing their answers back to them.
- You can also show interest by asking them clarifying questions to make sure you understand what they are saying.
- You can also ask them to tell you more about something specfic they said.
