Hello everyone! My Name is Carlee Cox.
Every week, I will be posting information about a positive character trait for our Pre-K through Kindergarten students at Porter!
This information will consist of a link to a video of a book reading, examples of the character trait, activities, tips for teaching, and discussion topics relating to this character trait. Our goal is to teach our students a new positive trait each week and motivate them to uphold and implement this character trait throughout their lifetime.
Having patience means you can remain calm, even when you've been waiting FOREVER or dealing with something very slow.
Every day holds opportunity for both children and adults to practice patience.
Being honest means that you choose to tell the truth, even when you think others either won't like the truth, or you think they won't like YOU, because you told them the truth.
Every day holds opportunity for both children and adults to practice being an honest person.
Having courage means that children will be brave as they meet new experiences, difficult situations, and/or dangerous encounters.
Every day holds opportunity for both children and adults to practice having courage.
1. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
2. Somebody emotionally close: somebody who trusts and is fond of another.
Every day holds opportunity for both children and adults to practice friendship
Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
Kindness can also include being kind to the environment.
