Hey guys! Check out Jackjack’s sweet potato plants, literally. She cut the bottom of a water bottle to hold the end of a sweet potato that was sprouting and added water to start roots. Follow our future posts to watch us prepare it for planting in a recycled pop bottle.
Supplies Needed:1/8" Ribbon, Spiral Notebook, Scissors, Ruler. Beads are optional.
Count the number of spirals. Cut each color of ribbon 4 1/2" multiplied by the number of spirals.
Place one of each color of ribbon together.
Tie in a double knot on each spiral starting on the second spiral if completing the next step.
Cut a 6 1/2" length of each color and tie on the first spiral. The left side of the tie will be 2" and the right will be 4". Thread the right side through beads and double knot on the end.
Supplies needed:
2 scrapbook sheets, or a pretty gift bag, craft glue, a ruler, scissors and ribbon, beads, decorations
1. Measure the box from under the top rim to the bottom and cut the scrapbook sheet to fit.
2. Glue the paper to the box in about 4” sections to make it manageable.
3. This was a big box so either a coordinating paper or another of the same was needed to complete covering it.
4. Trace around the top of the lid and glue the paper to the top.
5. Add glam with beads around the lid, ribbons or other decorations.
