Hello! Welcome to the Physical Education website of the Thomas A. Edison Physical Education Program. Here you will find various insights regarding your child's physical education program. This is a place where you can get to know your P.E. teachers. You can also visit our gallery to see your child in action! Here you'll gain an understanding of our grading rubric in conjunction with statewide and national P.E. standards. Check out our resources, if you want to play games and exercise with your child. Additionally, you can gain a perspective as to which units your child will be working on through out the year.

Edison Elementary P.E. Philosophy:
Our philosophy is to encourage exploration and mastery of physical and socio-emotional skills, while striving to expand upon motor and coordination skills. We seek to help each student develop an awareness that physical fitness connects with all areas of learning. All this while maintaining an appreciation for rules, as well as an understanding of the value in others. Providing a safe, creative environment to help increase self-esteem, motivation, and individual growth in our students is our priority.
