Vinstituutti

Vinstituutti is the wine and beverage club of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, which aims to promote students' knowledge of various beverage products in a relaxed environment, and thus develop Finnish drinking and restaurant culture.

Vinstituutti doesn't just focus on wine, but also on other brewery and distillery products. We organize events on the Haaga campus, as well as visit importers' and trainers' own premises. In recent years, we have organized, for example:

- various wine tastings, such as champagne and natural wines

- brewery visits

- tequila, sake and whiskey tastings

- distillery visits

We encourage students to join the events with a low threshold - previous experience is not important. The events are relaxed and generally very affordable, and as a member of Pore Ry you get a discount on all tickets. Events are announced on Instagram @vinstituutti, and tickets are sold on kide.app.

Hi, I’m Viivi Kallio, the new chairperson of Vinstituutti.

My interest in getting involved with Vinsti has grown alongside my studies and my increasing passion for the fascinating world of wines and other beverages. Wines have completely captured my heart, and there’s always something new to learn about them. The world of wine is captivating, and at its best, it creates amazing experiences. Vinstituutti is a wonderful opportunity to learn and share knowledge with like-minded people. I want to make our events easily accessible and bring new, exciting topics to the table for everyone!

Hello! I’m Nita Sirén, the new Vice Chairperson of Vinstituutti.

My interest in beverages arose during my studies at Haaga. Various courses and visits as part of my studies awakened in me the desire to become involved in the activities of Vinstituutti. Beverages interest me because they are not just drinks; they combine culture, history, and the world of flavors.

As Vice Chairperson, my goal is to create a warm and open atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

I look forward to tasting, learning, and sharing unforgettable moments together!
