Commandment 4 - “Honor your father and mother.”

We should honor and obey adults and guardians who take care of us (parents, teachers, coaches, doctors, etc).
God guides our leaders as they make their choices.
Commandment 5- “You shall not kill.”
Be able to explain what the commandment means in your own words.
Our life belongs to God.
You should respect the lives of others by treating them with kindness and respect.
You should take care of your own body (exercise, eat healthy, etc) and love ourselves.
Commandment 7- “You shall not steal"
Be able to explain what the commandment means in your own words.
Do not take things that do not belong to you.
Do not cheat on tests or at games.
Treat other's belongings with respect and return what you borrow.
Free will allows us to make our own choices.
4. Commandment 8- “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
a. Be able to explain what the commandment means in your own words.
b. “To bear false witness” means to tell a lie
c. You should not tell lies about yourself or about others. It is never okay to lie.
d. You should not tell others’ secrets.
4. Commandment 10- “You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.”
Be able to explain what the commandment means in your own words.
Covet means to feel envy (jealousy) towards others.
Everyone has the right to own things.
