Year 9 Parents Evening
The Year 9 parents evening offers the opportunity for students and parents to speak to teachers about option choices for Year 10, particularly when they are currently studying the subject in Year 9 e.g. Humanities, Technology and Languages.
1. Wednesday 25 February (4.15 - 6.30pm) for students in the following tutor groups
9AYA, 9CBR, 9CEG, 9CRA, 9DPA
2. Thursday 5 March (4.15 - 6.30pm) for students in the following tutor groups
9HBE, 9LAN, 9MMO, 9MBA, 9MQU
Year 9 Options Evening
You and your parents will have an opportunity to attend the Year 9 options evening on Thursday 12 March (5.30-7.30pm). At this event you will get the opportunity to hear presentations on the different option subjects. You will also be able to speak to the Subject Leader for each options subject. Mr McElwee will also give a talk on the KS4 options process.
Optional Assemblies
During March, optional assemblies will run for students who are interested in Media Studies, Business, Dance and Drama. These will be advertised via Tutor notices and will be delivered in the Lecture Theatre on a Friday during morning registration.
Expressive Arts Trial Lessons
Year 9 students interested in taking Drama, Dance or Music in Year 10 will have the opportunity to watch part of a Y10 or 11 lesson. Tutors will ask for the names of those students who might be interested. A convenient time will then be arranged.
1-2-1 Careers Interviews
For students who would like a careers interview there is the opportunity to meet with Mrs Bowing (careers advisor). Please click this link to request an appointment.
