About KYDS
Students enrolled at Polytechnic High School can benefit from an ASSETs grant awarded to the Los Angeles Unified School District, Beyond the Bell branch and Keep Youth Doing Something, Inc. (KYDS). All students attending Poly High School are eligible to participate in the KYDS program. Programs are federally funded and supplemented by a variety of grants and donations. All programs and services are provided FREE of charge. Programs are provided by, supervised and administered by Keep Youth Doing Something Inc., “KYDS”, a non-profit community-based organization, in collaboration with LAUSD Beyond the Bell.
KYDS’ programs are designed to offer engaging, safe, supervised options that reinforce school day learning and state content standards. KYDS provides a minimum of 15 hours per week of FREE activities, workshops, classes and clubs each week which include a variety of academic assistance, recreation, and educational enrichment offerings as well as occasional field trips.
