All About Me

Welcome to 2nd grade! I am super excited about this school year and to watch your child grow and learn. This will be my ninth year teaching at Cherokee Elementary School. I taught Pre-K for three years and this will be my sixth year teaching second grade. Being a teacher is truly my passion and it is all I ever wanted to be when I was younger! 

I live in Rockmart with my two kids. Levi is 3 years old and Zoe is a year old. 

Educational Philosophy

I believe all students have the ability to learn. It is my goal to teach my students how to become deep, critical thinkers. I believe that learning should be hands-on and fun! I want students to be excited about learning and coming to school every day. In my classroom, we help each other and celebrate each other's successes. My hope is that each student feels respected, supported, excited, and successful when they leave my classroom each day!
