See what we do!
2024-2025 School Year in Review
The PEF hosts a back-to-school event where families can catch up with friends, meet each other for the first time, and celebrate the beginning of the school year.
The 2024 Family Social featured face painting, the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Truck and lots of fun seeing our friends and meeting new ones!
The PEF organizes after-school enrichment activities during the year. Financial assistance is provided to families on an in-need basis to make sure that all students have the opportunity to participate regardless of the family ability to pay.
In 2024-2025, the PEF offered science with Unchartered Tutoring, art with Under the Moon Art Studio, musical theater with Mrs. Alvarez, and sports with USA Ninja, the McIntyre Ski School and the Goffstown YMCA Rock Climbing Gym.
This year the PEF was able to take all students and staff to the Palace Theatre in Manchester to see the Palace Youth Theatre production of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Musical!". Polaris took up an entire section of orchestra seating and it was mentioned by theater staff afterwards what excellent audience members Polaris students are!
The PEF provides funding for class field trips throughout the school year. Funds go toward admission prices, fees, bussing and other costs associated with the trips.
During the 2024-2025 school year, classrooms visited the Stone Zoo, the Boston Aquarium, Strawbery Banke, the Squam Lake Natural Science Center, and the Clean River Project. Students also enjoyed visits to the school by author Matt Ensenwine and the Kid Conservationist!
The PEF hosts free family events for all Polaris families. In 2025, we were able to have 2 events!
In the fall, we had a movie night at Chunky's. The PEF provided popcorn and drinks while everyone enjoyed "Wall-E". In the spring, we took over Lakeside Lanes and enjoyed an afternoon of bowling!
The PEF sponsors the Beach Bash all-school family dance in the spring that celebrates our school community and the great work students have done all year.
Beach Bash 2025! was held in The Founder's Academy gymnasium. Families dressed in beachy attire to enjoy dancing, face painting, food, games and photo ops!
The PEF sponsors Field Day at the end of the school year.
In 2025, Field Day was held at Camp Carpenter in Manchester. The days' events included field games, line dancing and Capture the Flag, capped off with a treat from the Kona Ice truck at the end of the day!
In 2025 the PEF was able to purchase Field Day T-shirts for all students, staff and volunteers as a fun memento!
The PEF created the Polaris Star Scholarship for emerging middle schoolers this year, recognizing 5th grade students who achieved outstanding performance at Polaris. The students wrote essays on the question "What experiences have you had at Polaris that have best prepared you for middle school?" , which were evaluated by Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais. Congratulations to: Cole Garber, Jeremiah Seckman, Shayla Rivera Fernandez, Gwen Bridgham, Lina Ben Haddou and Lillian Wright!
In April, Polaris students collected over 270 items to benefit Families in Transition, a Manchester organization that assists homeless families during our annual Polaris Gives! Donation Drive.
Because they collected over 120 items, the students earned a visit from the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Truck!
The PEF organizes a Scholastic Book Fair each year. The 2005 fair was held in February, and Polaris earned over $2,000 in Scholastic Dollars to give out teachers! Teachers can use Scholastic Dollars to purchase books, classroom technology, furniture, curriculums, and supplies!
The PEF organizes school pictures in the fall each year.
The 2024 school pictures were held in September with CLIX New England. 20% of the sales proceeds of picture packets went back to the school. The school earned over $300!
The PEF provided new, energy efficient window treatments for classrooms this year.
In continuing to improve the playground (installed by the PEF in 2023), we installed more safety padding around the asphalt skirt on the west-side of the building and will replace the fencing in the fall.
These improvements were made possible by the PEF's participation in the NH State Lottery Charitable Gaming. In 2025 the PEF was awarded over $86,000 in funds from gaming!
The PEF provides stipends to teachers for extra supplies, equipment, and project materials needed in their classrooms.
During the 2024-2025 school year, the PEF provided each classroom teacher with $1,000 and each specials teacher with $500. We also were able to give each teacher $250 in Scholastic Dollars!
The PEF sponsors a catered lunch for staff and provides each classroom with funds for parents to use to gift teachers something special during Teacher Appreciation Week.
In 2025, the PEF we appreciated our teachers in May with a special lunch catered by Puritan Backroom, treats and pampering packages!
Thanks to all the parent volunteers who generously donate their time and skills to making things happen for Polaris students!
