About the PEF
The Polaris Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that helps support the students and staff at Polaris Charter School in three main ways:
CULTIVATING COMMUNITY
Joining families, staff and the Polaris Charter School Board of Trustees to create a cohesive and supportive environment for Polaris students.
ENRICHING EDUCATION
Organizing and funding extracurricular activities and events such as field trips, social events, parent nights, the ski program and field day.
FUNDRAISING
Bridging funding gaps to ensure viability of school, provide equitable opportunities for all students, and supply needed classroom materials and school equipment.
Staying Connected
Facebook
Once your child is registered and officially enrolled at Polaris, even if they have not started yet, we highly suggest you join the parents-only page on Facebook. This is a great place to ask questions and get real-time updates on snow dates, cancellations, event reminders, and opportunities to collaborate.
If you are not currently enrolled in the school but want to keep up to date on PEF happenings as an active grandparent, future parent, or community supporter, join our Facebook page Friends of Polaris. It is a great way to keep up with many of the great things going on at Polaris. This page is for members only, but we welcome all who have healthy and respectful reasons to be interested in Polaris to join.
School Newsletter
The school newsletter is posted on the school website. Choose to follow and the updates will be sent straight to your email. PEF updates will be at the bottom of the newsletter
Flyers/Communication to Home
The PEF does send home communication in the form of flyers. We are confident 30% of them come home with at least one child in the family and are delivered in a timely fashion. Check those backpacks!
