Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).  The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Revenue District Office (RDO) is the taxing authority in the Philippines responsible for regulating taxation and collecting internal revenue taxes and record keeping within their jurisdiction.  It requires resident citizens with a Tax Identification Number (TIN) in the Philippines to receive income from sources within or outside the country to pay their personal income taxes and file income tax returns.
