This is the Team Kahikatea Remote Learning Site. All students can access their learning on this site.

EXPECTATIONS:

• Some reading, writing and maths to be completed each day. (This can be done both digitally and on paper)

• Science, art and wellbeing activities will also be included on this site.

• Teachers will be available via email throughout the day and will update the site daily. Please feel free to email -jennis@pmps.school.nz Room 24, sandrap@pmps.school.nz - Sandra Patterson Room 20, alicek@pmps.school.nz - Alice Kemp Room 21 and daniej@pmps.school.nz - Danie Jacobs Room 23.

This new lockdown has come as a bit of a surprise to us, however it does not mean that learning needs to stop.

All team Kahikatea classes will be using this site to post daily updates and links to work. Students should also be checking their email and folders in their google drive to locate documents that teachers may have dropped in for them to work on. It is important to remember that work done in the reading, writing, math and other folders in a students google drive is able to be viewed by the teacher while the student is working on it.

Our expectations for remote learning/online learning are as follows:

All students will check the site daily for the work. The teachers will have the day's learning up by 9am of the day.

Students should engage daily on the Google Meet with the teacher at the time or times given on the class pages, we realise this may not always be possible, but at least every second day would be good. These are generally run in the morning around between 9.00-9.30am.

GOOGLE MEET

We are using google meet as our platform for daily face to face catch ups with all the students. Each teacher for Team Kahikatea will be having these catch ups every school day. A link for the meetings will be sent to the students via their school email each morning from their teacher or it may be on the learning page for your class for that day. The students MUST have microphones on mute at the start of the call. Teachers will go over the rules around how to use google meet at the first catch up tomorrow.

Please encourage your children to check their emails daily, as some information may be communicated that way.
