What I Love About Playing Music: Music makes me happy. I love the melodies, the harmonies, the rhythms, and listening to the horn players behind me :-)

Fun Fact: I was a competitive swimmer in middle school, and did a year of synchronized swimming in high school.

about Ms. Goldstein

Ms. Goldstein is originally from the Chicago area, but has been living in Massachusetts since 2008. She has a BA in lingusitics, and both a BM and MM in music education, all from Northwestern University. She has taught all instruments to students of all ages from 4 to 40. She has also played in all kinds of groups including jazz band, orchestra, pit orchestra, marching band, and chamber groups. Her music training has enabled her to play in many different venues including Carnegie Hall and on the fields of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.

For over ten years, Ms. Goldstein has taught online courses in music at the undergraduate level at Post University as well as music education at the graduate level at Boston University. She has also worked in a variety of fields (cashier at a bakery, Quality Assurance, Aflac insurance), but is happiest when she is teaching music! Ms. Goldstein plays bassoon in both a community orchestra and a woodwind quintet.
