What Age I Started Playing: I started playing trumpet when I was in 5th grade.

What I Love About Playing Music: There is always room to grow! Musicians never stop learning, pushing themselves, and exploring new ways of making music.
Fun Fact: My dog Max loves music! His favorite thing to do is come to my concerts and listen!

about Ms. Alfano
Sydney Alfano is a trumpet player and music educator from Pembroke, MA. She graduated from Ithaca College in 2023 with a BM in Music Education. In her time at Ithaca, Sydney studied trumpet with Dr. Aaron Witek and Dr. Jared Wallis, and she performed in IC's Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Trumpet Ensemble.
Sydney teaches lessons at the Jesse Stiglich Music School and has previously worked in the Duxbury Public Schools' music department. Sydney is also an avid performer, and takes pride in bringing music to her community. She regularly performs in the Satuit Band, the Commonwealth Wind Symphony, the Voices Unheard Ensemble, and various musical pits throughout the South Shore.
Sydney is thrilled to share her love of music with the students of Plymouth!
