Printmaking - (1 semester class = .5 credit)
Students may enroll in this art class at Pick North up to three times to further develop their artistic skills.
- This hands-on studio course is your chance to master printmaking techniques like mono-printing, bold block printing, and the iconic power of screen printing used for creating your own merchandise, including t-shirts.
- You will also learn the secrets of design. We’ll break down the Elements of Art and Principles of Design (the
- essential toolkit that professional artists use) and show you how to apply them to make your prints pop. The skills you develop in this course (problem-solving, design thinking, and technical precision) aren't just for the studio. They're powerful, real-world skills you'll use in every class and future career. This course is designed to grow with you.
- This course may be taken up to 3 times, with the expectation that students will learn more complex techniques, demonstrating improved skills with each successive course.
- Sketchbook 8.5”x11”; regular #2 pencil and eraser; headphones for Chromebook required. Classroom fee is added to IC account.
