Art Foundations is designed for entry level art students to explore the fundamentals of art processes including various art processes such as drawing, painting and printmaking. Students will explore and produce artwork including the elements and principles of design. Students will practice planning, generating ideas and experiences with aesthetic content and for personal expression. Students will be encouraged to develop their own artistic style through research, reflection, and class critiques. Students should complete Visual Arts 1 & 2 (at the junior high level) or Art Foundations before enrolling in Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, and other advanced art courses at North.
