2023-2024 Volunteer Opportunities
Band Camp – July 31st - August 4th
We need parents to provide water for students during water breaks and staff meal attendants to set up meal for staff and then stay during meal to ensure it runs smoothly. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45ACAB2FA0FB6-band3

Tag Day – Saturday August 5th
Tag Day is one of our largest fundraising efforts of the year, and we are excited at the opportunity to partner with the Marching Tigers from Central HS. Tag Day drives are responsible for driving a group of 4 Marching Panthers on a designated route within PLSD during this door-to-door event.

Concessions for home football games – Fridays

Pickerington Band Festival – Saturday, September 16th
This annual event is co-hosted with Central. This event is a fundraiser for both bands and provides the opportunity for other high school bands to perform their shows for OMEA judges. Volunteer opportunities include set-up, clean-up, ticket sales, program sales, 50/50 raffle, parking, band host, concessions, crowd control and judges meal attendant. Please note that times are approximate until we have a final count for how many bands will be participating. There is usually a first and then a second shift.

Field Commander Stands and Water Helpers for football games – Fridays
Field Commander Stands: Move FC stands from practice field or bus to stadium, set up podium before performance and then return stands to practice field or bus at the end of the evening. This will include performances at pregame, half time and post game.
Water Helpers: Fill water jugs, transport to stadium and assist students to stay hydrated throughout the game.

Cookie receptions for home football games – Fridays
For every home football game, we provide a cookie reception for our students and the visiting marching band during halftime. This allows for fellowship and camaraderie with other musicians.
