Idea for a comedic candid podcast between Filipinas emerged from auditing Asian American Studies classes as a full time employee at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I loved learning in this department and the students I met in proximity that became friends.

Outside of my role at the University, I was also having casual conversations with stressed out Filipino undergrads in passing or when they repaired my computer. I kept thinking about how much there was a need to speak candidly in exploration of what we really wanted in life versus the narratives we feed and fed each other.

Over time, I pitched the idea of starting a podcast with Rosalina Trinidad who was in her last semester. Our show got viral from topics like Beauty Standards, Colorism, and Dutiful Daughter among Filipinas.

After a strong first season of rising listeners, the podcast has expanded with two new co-hosts Nicole Espinosa, Daniel Nero, and their lens as queer Filipinx/a/o.

The show continues to grow with new listeners across the spectrum of Filipinos by region and Non-Filipino listeners that find the topics relatable, informative, and most importantly funny.
