In the reading workshop component, our students delve deep into popular children's books. To foster collaborative learning and enhance comprehension, we employ various strategies such as rally coach, fortune tellers, quiz-quiz-trade, literature circles, and group presentations. These activities engage our students actively to develop a comprehensive understanding of the materials and boost their confidence in English communication skills.
SRA Reading Lab
We've begun introducing the SRA Reading Lab to P. 3, with plans to gradually expand it to higher grades. This resource is a multi-leveled system that provides individualized instruction, allowing students to progress through the levels at their own pace. The Lab offers high-interest fiction and nonfiction reading passages covering a wide range of topics to enhance comprehension, expand vocabulary, and increase specific knowledge. It also fosters a sense of responsibility by allowing students to take charge of their own learning progress with the support of their teachers.
