Overview

Our school has taken significant strides in developing our school-based literacy programme (LP), starting from Grade One in 2021-2022. We are glad that we have successfully extended the programme to Grade Five this year, with plans to implement it in Grade Six in the coming September. To ensure dynamic and engaging learning experiences, our class activities are conducted collaboratively by our dedicated NET teachers, local English teachers, and English teaching assistants.

Components of Our Literacy Programme & Thoughtfully Curated Booklist

Our literacy programme covers four essential components: sight words, phonics, reading workshops and reading skills. To instil a love for English reading, we have carefully selected some captivating children's literature, starting from picture books in Grade One and progressing to poetry, non-fiction, and short novels in upper grades.
