September was a busy month filled with our first morning meeting, house meeting, volleyball games, and a nation wide climate strike.
In true Plessy fashion our students took this event seriously making protest posters and bringing their energy to the strike. A few of our middle school students were even given the opportunity to talk with a local reporter from Popular Science and what they had to say was thought provoking and poignant. We couldn't be prouder of our Plessy students and their conviction to creating a future where the world is a better and sustainable place for everyone.
Our new Life Coach class has had a great start this year.
Ms. Fry, Mr. Adam, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Montgomery have been going into each class on Wednesdays to talk about the Plessy Values, how to practice being Mindful and Purposeful, and how to set personal and community goals. Look for Life Coach folders to come home this fall with personal and community goals from each student. Here a few great illustrations of what it means to be Purposeful!
