CELL PHONES- These will be turned in for students to recieve their computers each day. They will recieve their phone at the end of the day when the are at dismissal.
LOCKERS - Due to the limited space in the hallways and the close proximity of the classrooms, we have decided the use of lockers would not be conducive to our environment and would be a distraction, cause congestion, and take away valuable instructional time. The students will be able to leave their backpacks in the classroom before lunch so they do not have to carry them to lunch.
LUNCH - In order to optimize the lunch time for the students, 6th grade lunch time is 12:08 PM - 12:35 PM and 7th and 8th- Grade lunch is 12:58 PM - 1:25 PM.
Dress Code
Dress Code
RED zipper sweatshirts only (no pullover hoodies). This is mandatory and will be enforced regardless of the weather. No logos or designs. Again, RED ZIPPER style only. Cold weather guidelines differ and will be clarified in the fall.
BOTTOMS must be Navy and all pants/shorts must have a button and zipper or we consider them leggings and they will be out of dress code.
Sweatpants, joggers, tights, and denim are not permitted.
Polo shirts with the Plato Academy Logo are expected every day (excluding dress-down days and spirit days).
Sneakers/tennis shoes for footwear only.
Shorts must be length-appropriate and tights are only permitted when worn under shorts or school-approved dresses.
IMPORTANT:
Please prepare now for proper uniforms and clothing expectations. It is the parent's responsibility to be sure students arrive at school in uniform. We hope to not issue warnings, consequences, or disturb your workday to drop off proper uniforms.
