• The first goal of the Hackathon League is to inspire a passion in students for coding, designing, creating, and problem-solving.

• The second goal is to help foster a competitive, collaborative, and confident spirit in the final team of students who will compete in the KidOYO Hackathon. 

• 5th Graders are invited to join our Hackathon League.  

• Please note: Participation is limited. Students will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Students are encouraged to attend one morning a week for a Hackathon lesson.  Students will also have the opportunity to attend two other practice sessions listed on the flyer below.

• All participants will compete in a District-Wide Hackathon. Participants’ coding, design, problem-solving, creativity, and perseverance skills, as well as their contributions to the District-Wide Hackathon, will determine the competitors for the Regional KidOYO Hackathon.

• KidOYO is a special coding platform focused on computer science and engineering.
