As children will be in school full time, a blended learning model will no longer be required. The focus for learning on our return will be on health and wellbeing, literacy and numeracy.
Staff may still make full use of newly established practice of using online platforms for reinforcement of key concepts and home learning tasks. Scottish Government guidance states, "Children, young people and staff can take books and other resources home, although unnecessary resource sharing including textbooks should be avoided, especially where this does not contribute to education and development. Cleaning between uses should be in accordance with the Health Protection Scotland Guidance for Non-Healthcare Settings."
Blended learning materials will remain a contingency plan if the COVID-19 situation changes in line with government guidance.
There will be arrangements in place for parents/carers to informally 'meet the teacher' in term 1. Further details will follow about this.
