Year at-a-Glance
Year at-a-Glance
Weekly classes run from September through May. Our Pre-Ballet classes always focus on movement, creativity, musicality, discipline and basic ballet technique. The classes are organized by the student’s age as of September of the current school year. Previous experience is not required since the classes are designed for students to be able to join their age appropriate class at any time.
Class Observation
There are two opportunities for families to observe their dancers classes throughout the school year. We do not permit regular observation as this is distracting to the learning environment, however we do invite families into the studio twice a year to observe their dancer's progress!
Parent Participation Opportunity
A new addition from last school year, we offer a parent participation week for our Children's Division families where one parent or guardian can take class with their dancer. This was a hit last year, and we are looking forward to this event this year!
In-Studio Demonstration
In addition to the two family observation opportunities, on the last day of your dancer's class there is a demonstration. This includes a shortened class, as well as a dance the students have been working on with their teacher and classmates. This is a great way to introduce classical repertoire, learning the stories of the classics, as well as an introduction to performance.
